Blackwater Sailing Barge Match Association

Due to the adverse weather forecast, many barge skippers took the decision not to take part in this year's race. The race committee did not cancel the race. and two barges decided to sail, at a after a delayed start.

Crews of barges not participating took part in a version of Kwik cricket in Promenade Park. The players were split arbitrarily into two teams - the Windie Warriors and the Stormy Stumpers. The game was sort of played according to the 2014 Kwik Cricket rules and umpired by Paul Jeffreis.

We have been unable, as yet, to work out a way of awarding Championship points for this event, but will work on it ready for next time.......
